If you are Catholic, you probably won't like what I'm going to say, so just stop reading right here and don't even bother to leave me any flame comments.
I have long believed that the Catholic (Roman or otherwise) religion is one of the biggest entities to blame for some of the societal disasters in this world. Why? Because it is their edicts on birth control that have been to blame for a good portion of the over-population of this planet. Since 90% of the population of Haiti is Roman Catholic I feel they should take 50% of the blame for the dire straights that their parishioners are now in. The Catholic church is one of the most wealthy entities on this planet, but I wonder how much of their wealth they will distribute in Haiti.
Now, with those comments in mind, what about the effect of the church's doctrine all over the world? I think their beliefs are unnatural and twisted, but above all, GREEDY. They have power and wealth, but they did it through the bodies of all their members who have died giving birth to children they can't feed, and who they can't take care of in an emergency.
