My Earrings Are No Longer Out Of Sorts
For years, I've been traveling with my stud earrings in zip lock bags or some other kind of container that left them loose and just shifting around making it hard to find a pair (or in my case, two pair). So, after looking around on Pinterest boards and searching the Internet, I came up with a very easy and simple solution: a piece of thin packing foam.
As you can see, I've been able to get quite a few pair of earrings on one small piece of foam. When I was putting them through the foam, because it was so thin, I was able to position and, if necessary, re-position them without ruining the foam with two many holes.
One thing I did do was to make sure that when I put the backs on the earrings to secure them I slid them up as far as they would go on the shank to make sure they were tight and not flopping around. Also, none of them are real diamonds, just Diamonique, which just proves I'm not showing off the family jewels.
Book 'Em Dano!
I have more earrings to add to my foam pieces, and I plan to do them in groups that I wear together. Another idea that might work for someone else is if you have several pair of earrings and want to take all of them with you when you travel is to attach one side of the foam to other pieces and make it into a "book". Keep in mind the backs might scratch the earrings on the next page unless you put an empty foam piece between them.
Oh, and yes, I do see the one pair of criss cross earrings are missing a stone. :::sigh::: The picture is a little blurry too because my hands shake a bit and my cell phone doesn't like that.
Feel free to steal my idea and make it your own. Share it with your friends and pin it on Pinterest. I'm going to pin it there as well.
