It Seemed to Go By in a Blur...
Today was Christmas Festivities at The House of Yates. We were so spoiled! Swedish meatballs, yummy mashed potatoes, homemade sugar cookies (the first course!) and lots of other "nibbies". I threw caution to the wind and even had a couple glasses of wine (Liebfraumilch) during the time we were there. Thank you to Eric and Jill for a lovely day. I swear, the picture above was taken before I had the second glass of wine. Or, maybe the resident ghost jostled my arm, I don't know.
Don't you just love disembodied foot pictures? Hee, hee, that's Jim and that's his foot in the picture with the Christmas tree. He has his skiing bunny socks on...Sorry, not a very good picture of Jim (sorry Dear), kind of gives him a 'deer in the headlights' look.
Look, it's "The Pop", my couch companion for the afternoon. She was trying to snooze, but this crazy wench next to her did some flashy thing ala Men in Black and disturbed her zen moment.
Here it is, my very own decorated sugar cookie from the Kitchen of Yates. I had two others today, so I can attest to their yumminess. I'm thinking this one might be good with coffee in the morning. Maybe I can break it in half and share with Jim...?
This picture has nothing to do with anything. We were behind this car at a stoplight in town and I guess I'm the only one in the world that's never seen one of these "Whippetgood" add-ons. Sheesh! Well, anyway, I thought it was funny and since it was part of our day, you get to see it too.
Goodnight all. It's now after midnight so anything I said in reference to "today" was yesterday. Confused yet?
