Although I don't have the newest gadget, Flip Pal, I do have a handy little scanner I bought a few years ago that works for small items like photos, clippings, etc. Some comics I like so much that I've kept them for years. Each one tickled my funny bone for one reason or another.

In February of 1992 we were able to 'save' our kitty boy Rocky from his perilous life in the wilds of our neighborhood. He was just a kitten born the summer before and scared to death of everyone. He's taken refuge under our house out of the winter weather. He was a very loving kitty boy and happy to be part of our family.
That was 17 years ago and he's 18 this month. How time has flown by! When he was about twelve we noticed that he was doing a lot of limping around in the winter time just like an old man in pain. In doing some research I found out that Cosequin for cats was suppose to work very well in alleviating that pain. And, a side benefit was that the medication in the capsules worked to keep cartilage supple too. Since bladders are essentially cartilage, I believe it has helped him not to have any problems in that area too.
While this is an affiliate post, I am a genuine user of the medication and highly recommend it for cats (and dogs) who may be having pain problems. Rocky runs through the house daily. It took just about two weeks for the Cosequin to get in his system and begin working for him. Each animal is different though, so if you use it, give your pet time to absorb the daily dose.
I order from 1800-Pet-Meds because they always get my order correct and it is sent very quickly. I think many times they fill the order and get it sent the same day. Cosequin doesn't cost $39, but it would be easy to get your flea medicines at the same time and save on shipping. It's that time of year for those little creepy crawlers you know.
We've had some really dry and cold weather here in the last few weeks. The humidity in the house was down to about 35%, even with the humidifier going. With everyone bringing in Christmas trees right now you might notice that your cats are more than interested in the water for the tree. That's because they need to be 'watered' when the humidity is low too.
Rocky has been fine, but only because we feed him wet cat food with some water mixed in to dissolve one of this pills. Even so, I plan to keep an eye on his water dish and make sure it's full with fresh water at all times.
Make sure you water your dogs too!
Thankfully, we have some very well informed and proactive friends that keep us up to date on all sorts of health and environmental concerns. They were the first to tell us we needed to switch out our old clay cat litter for something more healthful for our cat Rocky.
You may or may not know that clay litter contains silica that can cause respiratory problems in cats. (And, perhaps for the owners as they empty the cat littler into the cat box, and/or clean it?) This pertains to the non-clumping variety. If you think you can avoid it by changing to a clumping kind though, think again. In order for it to clump, the clay has added sodium bentonite. Liquid added to sodium bentonite causes it to expand to 15 times its original volume. If your cat ingests any of this litter while doing its grooming it can cause serious internal problems.
We switched to Swheat Scoop last year and our cat had no trouble adapting to it. It scoops and clumps well, and even though adding new litter periodically creates some dust, we (two humans and a cat) haven't had any adverse effects.
