Take The Mystery Out Of Folding A Fitted Sheet
I don't remember my mom ever showing me the "proper" way to fold a fitted sheet. Maybe because when the sheets got washed and dried they just went back on the beds? It seems like it happened when Jim and I were in Germany and had to visit the laundromat once a week. We just devised our own way and have done it this way ever since.
Fold the sheet in half, tucking one set of corners into the other, then the excess is folded down between the two corner ends.
Fold the sheet in half with the two corner ends facing one another.
Fold in half again, and smooth any wrinkles if needed.
Fold in half a fourth time, from the right or left side.
Sorry for the blurriness of this photo. I think you can see the sheet is now small enough to put in the linen closet, or pair it with the top sheet, pillow cases and slip it all inside one of the pillow cases.
