Have you noticed? History only cites the accomplishments of men, and barely touches the equally valuable contributions of women. This hit home for me today when I watched an episode of Moon Machines and they got to the part where they were explaining how they had to design and fabricate the parachutes for the moon reentry capsule in order for it to splash down. Suddenly, I was seeing the very faces of the women who did all the work on the parachutes. It shows them doing the cutting and sewing, and even though their names were never mentioned, as a woman, it was so wonderful to see them at least acknowledged for their important part in the Apollo mission. Thank you ladies!
