I don't think I've ever gone so long without posting new articles to this blog. I've just been busy this summer and so I'll jump back to June and show you some pictures I took when everything was beginning to bloom in our yard and our next door neighbor's.
The first photo on the top right is of our front flower bed with the azalea and lithodora beginning to bloom. Everry fall or spring I cut back our native ferns to the ground so they look at nice and newly green all summer. In the distance, the blue house is our next door neighbor's yard. They planted those rhodies probably 40+ years ago and they put on quite a bloomin' show each spring.
The lower left picture is of the front of their house showing the azalea bushes and magnolia tree putting on a bit of a show. I'm sorry these pictures don't do it all justice. I guess you'll have to come to Port Orchard and see everything first hand! The last photo, lower right, shows our old (left) and new raised beds Jim made. Oh, and our 'new' trailer we bought from friends this year.
As soon as I can, I'll post some new photos of the raised beds to show how well they're doing this year. Stay tuned!
