As you know, we've been on vacation for a few days which means we've missed quite a few favorite programs while we've been away. One thing that saves us is that we can still get those favorite shows when we get home because we have an On Demand service too. If you take a look at On Demand home page you'll notice the listings are not just for movies, but for all sorts of programs (some in HD) for kids, music and premium channels.
I don't happen to have small children around, but if I did I think I would be choosing some of the programs in that category to view on demand. When I was a kid we loved the Tom and Jerry cartoons, and when we were visiting our grandkids last week they were watching the same show. Updated for current times, grant you, but still the silliness of that cat and mouse. I asked our grandson which character he liked most and he said "Jerry". It just made me smile because I always liked Jerry the best too.
If it were me, I'd probably record the programs and when the kids had their chores done they could watch them as a 'reward'. Some of the other networks available are Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Discovery Kids.
